App distribution and monetisation platform, Appnext, just announced the opening of its new US headquarters in San Francisco as well as the appointment of Jason Akel to General Manager, US. The news come on the back of Appnext having successfully grown its revenue by 345% in 2015.
Appnext provides a range of app distribution and monetisation features
Akel joins Appnext with a wealth of experience in digital marketing and content distribution. Over the last 16 years, he’s held a variety of roles, including helping games-on-demand provider Exent to launch their site Free Ride Games and selling millions of games service subscriptions through carrier partners such as Verizon, CenturyLink and T-Mobile. At Trymedia, now RealNetworks, he brought together some of the largest publishers into digital and helped create games for AOL, Yahoo! as well as others.
Elad Natanson, Co-founder, Appnext, says:
“We have a great, professional team and we’re confident that together with Jason we can continue growing our business in the US. Jason brings vast knowledge of the industry, customers and products, and he’s the right person for the mobile scene in the region.”
The new office aims to support the firm’s partnerships with US-based companies. It is part of a wider strategy to enable growth and strengthen Appnext’s presence in the mobile ad business.
Appnext is a provider of a full end-to-end solution for app developers to monetise their content. It includes targeting features as well as campaign management tools to help increase ROI, user engagement and experience. In addition, clients get to select best bids, change them, pause non-performing channels and set CPI rates.
The company says it now serves 20bn app requests each month and 490m unique users globally.
