Avazu expands US data centre to meet demand for real-time bidding advertising
Avazu, the performance-based mobile marketing company, has announced a strategic partnership with Softlayer, a hosting and cloud computing provider, migrating all service and applications to Softlayer’s data center in Ashburn.

Avazu offers a suite of programmatic buying, RTB solutions and client managed services. Softlayer partners include Whatsapp, Dropbox, Metlife, Nexage, Simpli.fi, Yashi, Mobfox, Clicktale, Tencent and NetEase. The company says:
“We have seen a tremendous increase in requests for RTB advertising from our clients in the US. New features are released on a weekly basis. We always think ahead, prepare well in advance, so we migrated our servers to a new data center with higher speed connectivity to guarantee the quality of our services.”
According to the company, the migration improved efficiency of communication between mDSP servers and partners, with test data to partner Smaato dropping from 20ms to 1.5ms. In real-time bidding, every millisecond counts to guarantee a successful auction.
