Start-up ad buying company Get It Mobile has acquired Kinetic Minds, a marketing firm specialising in emerging technology, and with it comes the appointment of Richard Kerris. Joining the company as chief marketing officer, Kerris has previously worked for Nokia, Apple, Lucasfilm, and Hewlett Packard, all in various executive roles.
Richard Kerris commented on his new role at Get It Mobile, saying:
“This is a pivotal time in the evolution of mobile, as the pace of consumer adoption is accelerating faster than the pace of online ad evolution. The team at Get It Mobile is approaching this revolution with amazing technology and a laser focus on customer success. I’m thrilled to join such a prestigious group.”
Get It Mobile’s CEO, Christopher Tanner, said:
“Richard’s deep reservoir of knowledge, experience, creativity and industry influence have proven to be invaluable to us as we rapidly grow. We’re very excited about the significant role he will play in our future.”
Kinetic Minds acquisition also brings Kevin Hague, who co-founded the company with Kerris, to Get It Mobile. He will fulfill the role of technical advisor. Get It Mobile specialises in app install ads, and is the largest source of app installs on the Google Ad Network. According to the company, its clients consistently hold spots in app store top 20 lists.
