What is Adscend Media?
Adscend Media is a performance–advertising platform focused on both monetizing non-paying users and boosting user retention/loyalty through our innovative reward-based ad solutions. We were founded in 2009 and we’re based in Austin, Texas. We currently have over 30,000 publishers from over 180 countries.
Why Should App Developers Monetize with Adscend?
We care deeply about our developers, advertisers, AND users. Our number one goal is to ensure a quality user experience, while delivering significantly higher eCPMs than traditional ad solutions like display ads. We are keenly aware of how critical user retention is because of the exploding number of apps released. On the App Store for instance, we have seen the total apps explode from 279,856 in December 2010 to 1,449,591 in December 2014 (App Count, Pocket Gamer, 2015). We find that our solutions not only significantly boost monetization of non-paying users, but also boost user retention and loyalty by rewarding them with desirable rewards at the right moment. It is rare to find ads that users like and we know firsthand that users love interacting with our ad units. Best of all, our solutions are complementary to an overall monetization strategy.
As a company, we also strive to take care of our developers, so we pay sooner than most of our competitors, develop better solutions and feature sets, and deliver developer support that is unmatched by our competition.
What Types of Monetization Solutions Does Adscend Currently Offer?
Currently, we offer an Android, iOS, and Unity SDK for the following solutions:
- Offer Wall – Reward users with in-app currency or items for engaging with ads, such as installing an app or completing a short survey. This is a great monetization solution, as it creates a new and significant revenue stream for developers to monetize the 95%+ of non-paying users. With our Offer Wall solution, we have seen developers produce eCPMs up to $90, which is incredible.
- Rewarded Video – Reward users with in-app currency or items for watching a short 15-30 second app trailer. Optionally, the user can choose to download the app as well, which is non-incentivized. This is a very popular solution with game developers in particular, as it helps retain users at key moments (such as end of life in a game), while also monetizing them at eCPMs as high as $50.
What Makes Your User Acquisition Solutions Stand Out From Your Competitors?
We go above and beyond by working closely with advertisers to build a user acquisition model that will deliver significant ROI. As an ad platform, every move we focus on is win-win-win and when you focus on bringing significant ROI to all parties, the results can be incredible. For example, we are finishing off a campaign for a large brand on Android where we delivered a large number of high-value users by clearly defining the KPI. Not only did we meet their expectations, but we were also able to deliver easily 5x the typical ad performance to our developers through this campaign.
What Are Your Strongest Geos?
We do our best to monetize all geos and continue to grow fill across the board, but our key geos are US, UK, CA, DE, FR, MX, BR, and IN.
What’s Next for Adscend?
In Q1 2016, we will be releasing a new rewarded solution that perfectly compliments our Offer Wall and Rewarded Video solutions, which has never been done before on mobile. We are focused on how we can really provide significant value to users through advertising and we consistently find that rewarding users works extremely well and monetizes better than typical ad solutions as a result. It’s the foundation that has allowed us to pay our publishers over $40 million since inception.
