Glispa acquires mobile native advertising firm Avocarrot
Glispa, the San-Francisco based mobile advertising technology firm, has just acquired Avocarrot, the mobile native advertising SSP, to expand its own native ad monetization endeavours for app developers. Avocarrot also provide programmatic ad and RTB solutions for automated buying and selling of mobile ads. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Glispa buys Avocarrot
The addition certainly adds quite a few new options for Glispa demand partners including an immediate programmatic marketplace. Glispa however isn’t exactly new to the native ad game and Avocarrot will be integrated into Glispa’s Ampiri Mediation platform to allow developers to monetize app inventory via programmatic and non-programmatic allocation.

This adds a range of new features to Ampiri, including a RTB exchange for media buyers, trading desks and DSPs to purchase native ad inventory programmatically, access to over 25 DSPs and ad networks globally, as well as an ad server that app developers and publishers can utilize to launch ad campaigns or cross promotions of their own products.
Avocarrot’s founders Conno Christou, Georgios Makkoulis, Giorgos Eracleous, Panagiotis Papageorgiou and 14 of its engineers will join the Ampiri team.
