Mobile internet provider General Mobile Corporation (GMobi) recently announced the acquisition of performance ad platform MassiveImpact which focusses on social media advertising of mobile apps. For GMobi app developers, the deal means that they can now tap a comprehensive advertising platform that includes web, mobile and social channels.

Among MassiveImpact’s clients are tech, retail and game brands Gameloft, Citibank, AIA, Tencent, and Baidu. The firm reaches over one billion users across 190 countries with its technologies.
Through the acquisition, GMobi will be able to complements its own services such as Firmware-Over-The-Air (FOTA) updates, secure mobile payments and mobile advertising.
In addition, the deal will add greater value through optimised targeting, content delivery and end user experiences through the Real Time Performance platform.
