Go2mobi secures funding to expand mobile programmatic ad platform
Go2mobi recently announced that it secured funding from growth capital investment firm H.I.G. Growth Partners. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed, but the cash injection will be used to expand Go2mobi into Canada, the US and internationally. It currently has three offices in New York, San Francisco and Vancouver and 32 employees.
Go2mobi lets advertisers target audiences
Tom Desaulniers, President and Co-Founder, Go2mobi, says:
“We’re growing quickly and, with this deal, it will help us accelerate our growth plans. We’re in that mode, we will be expanding and releasing new products. [The funding] will allow us to scale up and really compete with the big boys.”
The advertising platform enables marketers to target mobile device users according to a set of metrics such as location, demographics and interests. As a programmatic platform, advertisers get to bid on 40bn ad spots across 110,000 software apps and mobile sites each day.
John Kim, Managing Director, H.I.G. Growth, adds:
“Go2mobi has an advanced platform for audience targeting and optimization that is delivering amazing results for large brand advertisers. H.I.G. is excited to team up with Gavin and Tom and the entire Go2mobi team to expand their industry-leading platform and services.”
Go2mobi plans to hire more developers to work on its algorithmic advanced technology in the future. Earlier this year, the Vancouver company won its third Viatec award in three years, with Emerging Technology Company of the Year honors.
