Hong Kong mobile advertising trends by audience segment revealed
Mobile ad company Vpon just released its third quarter Hong Kong Mobile Advertising Statistics and Trends report, which breaks down current trends in mobile data-driven marketing and brand marketing by audience. The company breaks down audiences in groups of interest, including beauty, automotive, entertainment and 13 more.
According to the report over 6.9m monthly active unique mobile users in Hong Kong are being reached by Vpon.

The market is dominated by Android users compared to iOS.

When it comes to phablets, 5.3″ to 6.9″ were popular sizes for Android users, whilst iOS users preferred phone screen size over phablet size.
On a day to day basis, ad requests declined between 10pm to 5am the next day. However, audience segments interested in technology, health and digital learning showed slightly less activation during the daytime and more activity after 5pm.
Hourly ad requests
Mobile gamers, for example, are undoubtedly paying more attention to mobile gaming adverts. However, they are also interested in real estate and airline ads.
By comparison, Online Shoppers are interested in clothing more than other products and night time adverts tend to drive more purchases.
