Mobile advertising spend has grown fast in the UK and is set to overtake print this year, according to the latest research from eMarketer. The research firm predicts mobile to rise 45% to over $4.94bn in 2015, accounting for 20% of all digital media spend. Spending on print meanwhile drops to 16.4% of total UK ad spend this year.

Mobile will rival TV spend and is predicted to increase to a market share of 25.5% compared to 24.8% for TV, driven by strong growth.
Whilst overall digital spending has slowed slightly from 15% in 2014 to 12% in 2015, it’s still increasing at a faster rate than other formats.
