Mobile advertising and apps as a service (MAAS) company Affle has announced another pair of high-profile executive appointments within the firm. Alvin Ling has joined as director of product strategy, and Aman Grover as director of global delivery. The pair will work on the Affle Ads Platform and the Affle Apps Platform respectively, and bring considerable industry experience with them.
Ling spent the last five years running platform ad operations at Smaato, before shifting to product strategy, while Grover has worked in product and delivery management roles for 12 years, in companies including Xerox and Genpact.
Speaking about his new role, Alvin Ling said:
“I am excited to join Affle and drive the product direction of its MAAS platform. The ad technology industry is going through a significant shift with the move towards end-to-end platforms and unified data. I feel that Affle’s platform is best positioned to offer this solution to marketers.”
Aman Grover also talked about joining Affle, saying:
“It’s good to be back to spearhead delivery for Affle AppStudioz. The world of mobile apps is changing daily and we need to make sure that we continue to deliver new path breaking innovations with structured processes and high ROI for our customers.”
Anuj Khanna Sohum, founder, CEO, and chairman of Affle, commented:
“In a fast evolving mobile landscape our MAAS platform is maturing by the day to offer a cloud based enterprise grade end-to-end mobile platform. With the newer members onboard we hope to drive this to newer heights by making it better leverage user intelligence and become more ROI and customer centric.”
Affle was formed in 2006, and has gone on to become a valuable unified mobile marketing platform in use around the world. In 2014, it acquired fellow MAAS platform AppStudioz in India, and later appointed Amit Sharma as the managing director. The company counts Microsoft, and D2C Japan amongst its investors.
