Mobiquity Networks connects with US movie theaters to launch mobile campaigns powered by beacons

Mobiquity Networks, which powers a shopping mall‐based beacon advertising network in the US, recently announced a partnership with Screenvision to install beacons across 300 theater complexes to establish a movie theater ad and data network.

The deal enables brands to reach consumers in movie theaters through interactive games, pre and post-show ads and other mobile campaigns. In connection with Screenvision, a provider of cinema advertising with a national network of 2,300 theaters and 14,200 screens, Mobiquity Networks will roll out beacons to the lobby areas and selected theaters, leveraging its existing beacon network of 475+ US shopping malls.

The two companies will share their expertise and help clients oversee their campaigns. Initially, the beacon installation involves 300 theater venues and 2,500 screens.
