Mobvista, the mobile advertising company, recently announced that it has acquired monetisation and native advertising technology specialist, NativeX for $25m (160m Yuan). NativeX makes a native video ad platform that features Lightning Play video, offer walls, interstitials and other rich media formats.

On completion of the transaction, NativeX is to become a subsidiary of Mobvista. Rob Weber will continue to head NativeX as CEO in addition to serving as VP for Mobvista.

Mobvista’s global mobile ad network receives over 10bn daily impressions across integrated ad spots and websites in 240 countries. Since foundation in 2013, the company says it now has billions of overseas users for thousands of clients. The company listed a market value of over 6bn Yuan in November 2015. Duan adds:

NativeX’s reach is over 1bn mobile users. The company works with 1,000+ publishers including Yodo1, Square Enix, Fingersoft, MADFINGER Games, Mag Interactive, Outfit 7, and Play With Games, alongside major brands such as Disney, King, Zynga, Rovio, IGG, and Machine Zone.
