Multiscreen as a Service platform Phunware has acquired Odyssey Mobile Interaction


Integrated customer engagement platform Phunware has acquired Odyssey Mobile Interaction, which had built out a position as one of the new breed of “premium” mobile advertising service providers focusing on Rich Media and major brands. The move strengthens Phunware’s international presence, and its Multiscreen as a Service platform, where brands use a single login on a single platform to manage global campaigns. Odyssey has an impressive client list, including Google Nike, Samsung, and Mercedes Benz.

Alan S. Knitowski, CEO and co-founder of Phunware welcomed Odyssey to the company, saying:

Odyssey will remain based in London and Singapore, which will enable Texas-based Phunware to expand its European and Asian operations. According to Phunware, it provides the world’s only “full stack” engagement platform for multiscreen app environments, and is targeting the growing Internet of Things market, where it intends to reach the 50 billion connected devices expected by 2020.
