Software company, Ooyala, recently launched its new Ooyala Flex Media Platform, a video production and delivery platform that makes it simpler to streamline processes including video content management, curation, publishing, analyses and monetisation.
The content supply chain optimisation platform taps into Ooyala’s experience cloud-based solutions. At the same time, it helps clients to minimise their costs and complexity of content creation and distribution.
The platform was created specifically for media content owners and production companies, says Ooyala. Workflows can be customised, integrated with third party tools to gain expanded insights and boost the experience for the end consumer.
“We are solving one of the media industry’s biggest pain points – how to get the most engaging content to market faster at a lower cost,” said Jonathan Huberman, CEO, Ooyala. “And what we’re hearing today from all broadcasters, studios, media companies, and enterprises is that they need efficient tools that easily integrate in order to produce, manage and distribute content profitably. This is today’s behind-the-scenes media revolution — a new paradigm in which no company wants to be tied to a proposed ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution, or individual solutions from multiple vendors or legacy systems that cannot be integrated.”
The Ooyala Flex Media Platform was created to drive the full content supply chain from pre-production to profit. It also aims to provide workflows and metadata infrastructure and APIs.
Additionally, the platform taps artificial intelligence to streamline workflows, connect teams and power rich metadata and analytics.
However, the platform is fully configurable to a client’s personal needs.
“Content owners and production companies need a solution that can streamline the entire process from creation to syndication, and ultimately distribution across devices,” Huberman added. “The Ooyala Flex Media Platform empowers our customers giving them complete control over their operations, as well as a heightened level of data and insights crucial for engaging audiences and staying ahead of competitors. We designed the platform to futureproof our clients’ video business.”
