OpenBack provides mobile app notifications and engagement tools. Its platform provides a range of notification management features including multi-messaging types such as SMS, email and in-app, intelligent routing across various devices, deep-linking and post delivery update, among others.
Indeed, notifications are one good solution to reach consumers on their mobile devices. According to a report from Kahuna, push notifications can double retention rates. Opt-in rates for push notifications have remained fairly strong across Android devices with 87% of users opting in compared to 47% on iOS.

David Shackleton, Chief Executive, OpenBack, says:
“We have always aspired to be a US first company with European roots, and having had key clients in the US for a while now, we were overdue to start serving them from the US. We’re delighted to have a great team on the ground to deliver and being scaling up our US operations.”
The company enables mobile apps to utilize real-time device data and machine learning to deliver messages at the right time for users and manage notifications after delivery. OpenBack says clients have seen interaction rates of over 65%, compared to 8% for static push notifications.
