Knott will be overseeing Celtra’s expansion in the Asia Pacific region, and coordinating the company’s growth there. Celtra already has strong presence in Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. In 2013, the company received $4m in investment in a round led by Japan’s SoftBank Capital, which was used to explore new business opportunities throughout the region.
Jonathan Milne, general manager for the APAC and EMEA region at Celtra, commented on the appointment, saying:
“I am delighted to welcome Rick to Celtra as our leader for the Asia Pacific region. Rick’s deep mobile expertise, combined with significant business development experience will enable us to accelerate our growth and forge deep strategic partnerships in the region.”
Rick Knott added:
“I am extremely excited to bring Celtra’s market-leading mobile-first HTML5 solutions to Australia and APAC as a whole. The matching of Celtra’s innovative ad formats to Australia’s strong premium publisher market is a significant opportunity to finally engage Australian consumers on mobile. Similarly, across APAC, Celtra can present all premium publishers and brand advertisers the opportunity to truly engage people way beyond just clicks.”
Celtra provides advertisers with a creative, analytics, and optimization platform designed for brand display advertising across mobile and desktop machines.
