Sionic Mobile ION Loyalty
The ION Loyalty merchant app has previously been improved to include monitoring of iBeacons with no impact on a mobile device’s battery life.
Over the coming weeks, the company’s consumer app ION Rewards as well as partner apps that reach up to 100m mobile consumers, will be updated for iBeacons functionality.
Beacons are seen as the next phase in mobile payment and loyalty platforms. 85 of the top 100 retailers have already made plans to adopt beacon technology. Analysts have said that beacons could impact $44bn retail sales in the US in 2016.
Sionic Mobile has selected iBeacon technology from Apple, continued support for in-store, one-tap checkouts using Apple Watch and allows small businesses and merchants to tap into that same mobile technology that larger retail chains are using, without any upfront cost.
