Sizmek buys PointRoll to add dynamic creative optimisation capabilities

Sizmek, the open ad management platform company, last week announced that it has snapped up dynamic, creative ad technology firm, PointRoll, owned by Cofactor, in a deal worth $20m, with $11m in cash and $9m in seller financing. This enables Sizmek to serve its clients with dynamic creative capabilities as part of a single solution.

PointRoll offers rapid integration of real-time, dynamic data to leverage high volume data such as offers, pricing and inventory in ads. As part of Sizmek’s MDX platform which features tools for dynamic creative campaigns, content management, data and audience targeting features, Sizmek will be able to offer a powerhouse ad solution to its clients.

The deal further adds a broad range of data-powered capabilities to Sizmek’s platform to include media buying, multi-channel and device management and attribution.
