Location-based mobile advertising firm, Verve, recently announced the appointment of Gian LaVecchia to the role of VP of Client Strategy and Development. LaVecchia will be reporting to Verve Chief Revenue Officer, Kevin Arrix, to manage the mobile marketing platform’s client development and agency strategy through partnerships.
Verve provides a range of solutions that allow marketers to engage consumers near a point of purchase. Its location-based mobile ad platform combines location intelligence, technology, data as well as premium inventory and reporting tools to reach audiences in real-time.
LaVecchia joins Verve from MEC Global (GroupM) where he held the position of Managing Partner and Digital Content Marketing Leader for North America.

Prior to joining MEC, LaVecchia was Executive VP of Digital Media at Story Worldwide and held senior leadership position as Publicis Moderm and Digitas Inc. He adds:

The hire follows news earlier this month that Dr. Mark Ollila had been appointed as General Manager and Chief of Staff at Verve.
