Yahoo reported a revenue increase to $703m for Q3 2016, compared to $515m during the same quarter the previous year.
The company is about to sell its ad business to Verizon which has big plans to integrate it with its AOL digital advertising unit.
Yahoo mobile advertising revenue rise
Whilst Yahoo search revenue declined 14% compared to the year over and paid clicks also dropped 22%, revenue across its mobile, video, social and native advertising properties rose to $524m from $422m the year before.
Mobile revenue alone jumped 46% to $396m.
The company has been busy innovating its mobile advertising experiences. It recently added sports fans features including the option to search for major League games via the Yahoo Sports app and updated some of its apps’ features.
In addition,it rolled out search retargeting for native ads on Yahoo Gemini. Additional features on Gemini now include a customised audience targeting solution. This should ease the process of integrating a marketer’s own data, yielding a higher return on their search and native advertising spending.
