Yahoo7 recently launched a new Mobile Developer Suite in Australia and New Zealand. The new SDK includes Flurry Analytics, Yahoo App Publishing, access to Yahoo Gemini’s ad marketplace and Brightroll video advertising features.

Ed Harrison, CEO, Yahoo7, says:
“Mobile use is exploding, with Australian users spending over 33 hours each month on their smartphones. This Mobile Developer Site is a single SDK which empowers app developers to manage world-class analytics and monetise through a local advertising marketplace. Our Mobile Developer Suite will be an incredibly powerful tool for Australian and New Zealand developers, giving them access to the unique insights they need to develop and evolve their technology to suit their ever-changing users’ mobile habits.”
With Flurry Analytics, developers can measure, track and analyse their app’s performance, user acquisition as well as in-app activities. Understanding an app user is the first step towards ensuring a campaign reaches them. The analytics tool is currently in use by 200,000 developers worldwide across 730,000 apps and 2bn mobile devices. Flurry Pulse then lets them share their data with other partners.
The SDK also features Yahoo App Marketing, which allows developers to drive downloads and engage new users through a targeted campaign. Through Yahoo App Publishing, developers can monetise their apps accessing Yahoo7 advertisers and a series of mobile formats to fit the in-app ad experience best.
In addition, the Mobile Developer Site offers easy Tumblr sharing. Tumblr is part of Yahoo, so direct integration into its marketing offering may not come as a surprise, but it nevertheless provides added reach.
Jonathan Steel, Director Business Development and Partnerships, Yahoo7, adds:
“Our new Mobile Developer Suite leverages the strengths of Yahoo technology to help local developers measure, improve, and monetise their apps to drive growth. Knowledge is power and our tools put the most important information in their hands to drive their businesses forward.”
