Tap for Tap is The Tap Exchange™ a cross promotion network that’s free for developers to use.  With millions of mobile apps on the Google Play and Apple Appstores it’s increasingly hard for independent mobile developers to get their apps downloaded and used.  TapTap takes only 20% of all the taps created on the platform, the service is free for developers to use.  They also run podcasts, twitter chats and youtube channels for mobile app developers.

  • traffic from different geographies is treated differently by the system, so if you send high value clicks from the US, that’s what you get back
  • tracks all installs generated on the tap for tap platform
  • easily create ads using the wizard in banner, interstitial, App Wall formats
  • Pitch Page tool to create a landing page for your apps or games

Not Happy

Apr 15, 2013 by Andrew S

I was a bit disappointed with Tapfortap on the advertiser side. I sent over a $5000 test budget but then decided to go in a different direction. I asked for a refund and, it was met with a bit of pouting. They said there would be a 3% refund fee. Ok fine, but they took $200. I asked to be refunded by check, and they PayPal'd me instead, incurring another fee of $153.

All in all, I had to absorb a $353 refund fee for never doing business with them. I felt a bit bullied and their lack of professionalism cost me quite a bit of money.

Tapfortap Review

TapforTap are a great addition to the mobile app promotion ecosystem. Their #appdevchat twitter channel is full of great links and they pull in some great contributions from developers and other app marketing platforms.

They also really get the importance of a fair system for cross promotion and have a nice system for ranking the value of the clicks that you send and receive to ensure a level playing field.
